| June 22 marks the Feast of St. Thomas More. St. Thomas More encouraged merry making at his own family gathering; he organized songfests with a clown in attendance, and there was always engaging and provocative conversation. In like manner, we celebrated this feast after Mass on Sunday, June 20, 1999. People brought food to share (we have at least one master chef in our community along with many other excellent cooks) at the Feast hosted by the St. Thomas More Teens. A clown came to entertain the children, and the Teens did their part to make the Feast a memorable event. Cindy gave a poetry reading, Joshua juggled, and Cristian sketched pictures while English Renaissance music played. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
