In appreciation of 15 years of Catholic life at St.
Thomas More, I Monsignor Labib Kobti, Pastor of St.
Thomas More Church, offer this gift of a shrine to our very dear
Burmese Community.
I want every Burmese to feel at home when he or she sees
the history, the beauty, and Catholicity of his or her own
country, Burma.
I want you to see that you have a piece of your country
at St. Thomas More Church and that you are loved by the
Archdiocese of San Francisco.
I hope that this shrine will enhance your love of Christ, his Holy Mother, and his Church.
I pray that one day with many of you we will celebrate
in Heaven 150 and 1500 years of the Burmese community at
St. Thomas More Church. Above we will embrace each other for the great work
that we did for our future generations and continue to
build their life for the best.
